This weekend's challenge is to give us a story or snippet of a story which includes, in exactly 33 words, a justified exclamation point. Make us believe that your exclamation point simply needs to be in your story.
The Floater
Watching it closely while rollicking in the bathtub.
It's rather buoyant. Moving ever closer.
The baby squeals, taking pride in her handiwork.
Silent screams escape the boy's mouth.
“Mama, the baby pooped!”

Reminiscent of Caddyshack. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen it. My husband keeps telling me I need to. ;)
Deleteugh...brought back memories of my kids when they were younger. funny, though.
ReplyDeletecleaning the tub sucks
Are you kidding me? It is totally easy to clean the tub after one of these! After becoming a mom, I often wonder if I'll ever look at poop the same way again. But it sounds like maybe the same goes for big brother in this story.
DeleteLance, I am not a bug fan of cleaning the tub either.
DeleteI know, Patient Mommy, there are lots of things that don't gross me out as much anymore after becoming a mom. ;)
they have a name/acronym for this at the pool - can't remember what it is (age sucks!) but this reminded me of that. Funny . . . and . . . ewww!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, my aunt used to have a sign at her pool that said, " Welcome to the OOL. Notice there's no P it. Let's keep it that way!" ;)
DeleteA real-life moment captured perfectly!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I really enjoyed yours as well!
DeleteHaha brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for that and for dropping by!
DeleteI had such a moment once when my kids were babies. It's a parent's rite of passage. Funny!
ReplyDeleteHey! It's my chica! Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteIt is a rite of passage. Unfortunately, since we made light of Mags little accident the first time, she thought it would be hilarious to do a repeat performance. It became her thing for a little while and got old...very fast. :P
Funny.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOh, man. Definitely worthy of an exclamation point.
ReplyDeleteHa! Poop always is! ;)
DeleteOh, how i wish this did NOT hit home :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Don't we all?! Thanks for dropping by!
