Ketchup With Us - #12

Michele and I were reviewing our pictures and videos we took while we were in New York last summer. We came across a video we took of her ordering a drink in an olive bar. Of course, dressed in a ketchup costume, she requested...well...you'll see. That got us discussing drinks and ones that we've really enjoyed. 

I decided to write about a drink that is native to my area. Afterall, what's that saying? "When in Rome...or in this case....when in West Virginia, do as the West Virginians do." Last year the Bloomery Plantation Distillery opened right around the corner from us. They have won many metals for their signature Cello. 

Oh, West Virginia, known for your moonshine. We enjoy this in lemon flavor and add some zest. Free tastings galore, many flavors to choose.  Mix 

and mingle it with gelato, lemonade coffee, cake, club soda or flavored 

vodkas to enhance its charm. So many delicious ways, so little time. 

Or simply sip it straight from the bottle.

Zesty Mountaineer Martini: West Virginia’s Smooth Ambler Vodka, flavored to taste with our Limoncello. Shake with ice and garnish with a lemon twist.

Dreamcicle: Mix Cremma Lemma, orange juice and vanilla club soda. Sip and enjoy.
