BIRTH

The preparation is colossal.
The final moment is intense.
The first cry is heartfelt.

This post was in response to Trifexta Writing Prompt:

"For this week's challenge, we are asking you to
give us a complete story in three sentences."

  1. I love it! I feel like it's motherhood, but it could also be a wedding, so many other important, monuments occasions...really good job.

    1. Thanks, Kim. Really so many directions you can go with this prompt. Like you said, I liked the constraint. It really helped me focus. I like how you saw it!

  2. Here comes baby! This was great. It IS exactly how you tell it!

    1. Thank you. I found myself reaching back into my mind on the days I had my babies. Amazing how simple the whole process becomes in your mind as the years pass. :P

  5. Thank you for joining this week's Trifextra Challenge. This is a really tightly-written piece. I love how you really trimmed off all the excess and just gave us what we needed. The word "colossal" is perfect here. Hope to see you back on Monday for the weekday challenge.

    1. Thank you. I really enjoyed visiting the other writers' blogs and taking in all their creativity. I had a hard time at first trying to capture such a "colossal" moment. Then, the more I thought about it, the more basic it became. Each part of "birth" takes your breath away and humbles you as a person. Thanks again. I will be checking out the writing challenge tomorrow!

  6. This could refer to other kinds of "births" as well. Well done!

    1. I didn't go into it writing it that way, but I really like how people have been seeing it that way. Thank you so much!
