MOMBIES

Chris: "Night, Mags. Night Tuck. Thanks for the great day. Now, remember, stay in bed.  Don't come out of your room. You've used the bathroom, you've had some water and we've kissed you both. It's our time to watch a grown-up show."

Mags: "Oh brother. Are you watching that zombie show again?"

Chris: "Yes. Please stay in bed, Mags. Okay?"

Mags: "Alright, but don't come cryin' to me when you're havin' zombie nightmares."

I totally had zombie nightmares that night after watching 'The Walking Dead' with Chris.  But, the show also got us thinking about the similarities between zombies and moms. We walked around for a week mentioning things to each other, until finally, I had to make a chart. So, without further ado, I present to you...

MOMBIES

Have you seen my other charts?

  1. So funny. Ry and I were talking tonight about when she was a baby. All these memories came flooding back to me about the night before her first Thanksgiving and when she had colic. I remembered many of the things on your chart. Mombies!!!!

    1. It's true. I can't believe the amount of "sleep" I went on. :) But it's worth it.

  3. Just an FYI it doesn't get better as they get older. I still stay up and worry when they are not home. If I get 8 hours of sleep in a day I am sick and have gone down from it alone..

  4. Oh Mel, you crack me up. Now I do not watch any zombie shows...but I loved your chart (as always! of course the HOCKEY chart will always be our Favorite, John has it hanging in his cubicle!)

my favorite "wander aimlessly around Target" ...I chuckle every time I read it.

and it doesn't hurt that I normally go to bed before my children. I get up at 4:30..they get up at 6..that's only fair. ;)

    1. Geez!! 4:30? Wow, woman. That's early. You poor thing. Yes, I go to bed w/ kids a lot. It's staying asleep that's the problem.

  6. Zombies can be subdued by taking their heads away from them.
Moms can be subdues by promising to take their kids for the afternoon.
